Mariha is a doctoral candidate in economics at the University of Essex. Her research focuses on testing and developing living standard measurement indexes. Prior to this she worked as a development practitioner in Bangladesh. She has hands on experience in the implementation and efficacy of social safety net programmes and pro-poor market development.
